| On 16 May 2016, Hightime Law Office wins the lawsuit about the right of subrogation of oil pollution damage caused by MT “Xu Yang 11”. On 12 October 2013, the second officer of MT “Xu Yang 11” directly contacted the superintendant of the shipyard which was relevant to the owner of MT “Xu Yang 11”. MT “Xu Yang 11” was hit by an explosion when the vessel was being repaired at the wharf of the shipyard which resulting oil spilling. Hightime Law Office was delegated by the oil pollution insurer to deal with the lawsuit of cleaning costs and file a lawsuit to seek subrogation recourse from the shipyard. The court of first instance was in favor of Hightime’s standpoint that shipyard as the employer should undertake tortuous liability for the infringement act of his employee.
